JaVale McGee and the SIXERS are negotiating a buyout.
Do we have a chance to get him or is he going to the Cavs like everyone else?
    Do we need him?
    Does he fit our system?

Yes. Spurs could slide him in at the PG position.

I'd still take Blatche in a heartbeat, though.

He was actually waived, not bought out. Regardless, no thanks, I'll pass. Like Chinook said though, I wouldn't mind picking up Blatche.

A buyout ultimately requires waiving the player, so he reached a buyout agreement, and THEN was waived.

He's going to re-sign with a Chinese team last I heard. But yeah, despite being a knucklehead, Blatche's stretch-four ability is perfect for San Antonio's offense. He'd be great against the Grizzlies and Thunder in a playoff series.

What is the story with Ray Allen? Is he signing with any team at this point for the playoffs? Is it even worth it now for the Spurs to pursue if they could?

Javale will make Pop lose all his hair, on his head and face, if he comes to the Spurs. Might as well call Pop Lex Luthor at the end of the season.

Blatche is actually a good player, though. And he'd fill a need.

    1) Rockets will sign him and Daryl Morey will unveil some mysterious analytic on why this makes sense. 2) should there be a remote possibility the Spurs sign him, Spurs fans should not worry anymore about not being in the spotlight, as JaVale is 100% likely to make Shaqtin' A Foold every week.

Did I read that they had to or they actually would have been below the league minimum in salary cap?

Heard on the local ESPN radio that Spurs are one of the ten teams interested in McGee. I wouldn't touch him with ten foot pole but let the speculation begin...

As long as he doesn't see the court in the fourth quarter I'm more than fine with him. Can provide useful minutes.

We're not getting him. But to all those who rightfully point out he's not that good...we still have Ayres and Bonner infesting the bench...you telling me McGee is worse than those Turd Towers?
