Jordan being #1 automatically makes this list highly suspect. Whiteside as #4? He's got to do it for more than 2 weeks to be considered a great defender.
No Kawhi or green. I suppose not everyone can be a blind homer like Sean eliut, but he's gotta recognize the best backcourt defense in the league.
Bowen doesn't want to go anywhere near Kwahi. I was going to say that Leonard hasn't played enough but Whiteside - lol.
Leonard is the best perimeter defender in the league.
Bowen is just salty that in 4 years Kawhi is higher than him now in spurs all time
Old gots
Bogut, Gasol, Both Danny and Draymond, Kawhi are really the best defenders in the league.
That's an ESPN list for sure.
The big kid from Utah should be on there.
No Anthony Davis? No LeBron James? No Kawhi Leonard? No Tony Allen?
Bowen really sucks as an analyst tbh...
He's gotten way better. He's gone from "crawl under the couch and hide" to "just change the channel" to "just ignore the segment" in just a few years.
Again, I really think he's being told what to say in exchange for a job.
Well, he does work for ESPN now unfortunately. That or he didn't wanna sound like a homer
If Jimmy Butler were really #2 in the league defensively, we swung and missed trading Hill for Kawhi and then drafting CoJo one spot ahead of Butler.
But that's simply not the case.
Bowen seemed hesitant to recognize Duncan last season about the possibility of a DPOY, not surprising if he did not include Kawhi this time..
If that is Bruce's list and he wasn't influenced in any way, then I have no idea what he's thinking.

Bowen:
Broussard:
Wow, that moron Broussard's list is way better than Bruce's.
Just goes to show that former players, even smart ones like Bruce, don't necessarily make good analysts.
Pretty sure mvp Kwame brown has something to say about that
Bruce has never been shy about running his mouth for the sake of it.
DeAndre Jordan is the league leader in Rebounds, 14.5 per game, which is expected when you have a PF who can't rebound to save his life and a chucker like Crawford. He also averages 2.3 blocks... But other than that he's a TERRIBLE post defender. His opponent's FG% at the rim is 49.3% Davis & Ibaka are 1A and 1B
Jimmy Butler's defense took a step down this season. He's even took the blame for the Bulls' defensive struggles. Kawhi should've been in this spot IMO
Tyson Chandler? Has no reason to be in this discussion.
Whiteside's per 36 numbers are crazy (16.4rpg, 4.0bpg) & I've noticed Centers usually have below average games against him.
Nerlens Noel is 6th in Blocks and 8th in steals, but the dude is a horrible rebounder. His opponent fg% at this rim is 45.8%, which is better than Timmy's.
DeAndre Jordan #1? What's up with all these analysts thinking he's a top defender when he isn't even top 5 among big men. Ibaka, Timmy, Davis, Bogut are the elite this season, then you got guys like Noel, Gasol, Hibbert then the guys who still have a little more to prove like Whiteside and Gobert (strictly based on this season they deserve to be in the conversation).
Bowen's list is disgraceful, Butler has been average at best this season, Chandler is washed up. You could make a case for Whiteside, Noel eh I'd say there are better defenders (as I listed above).
Broussard's list at least has some elite defenders on there (Davis, Kawhi, Allen).
