Clearly anyone who prays is comparable to John Hagee.

And how silly to question a Presidential candidate's association with a specific church minister as though that's going to affect his policy decisions, right? I can't think of any other time that's happened.

Cruz and Hagee are both extreme right Bible humping religious extremists, just like Cruz' ed up father. To think Pres Krazy Kruz + a Repug Congress wouldn't implement Christian-preferential regs, laws is naive.

Guess Cruz has never been to Austin...

Ted Cruz: 'I don't think I've ever seen an Hispanic panhandler'

Presidential candidate and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) said on Wednesday that he has never seen a Hispanic person begging for money on the street.

"I don't think I've ever seen an Hispanic panhandler. And the reason is: In our community it would be shameful to be begging on the street," Cruz said, recalling a conversation he once had with a Latino businessman on the topic.

Cruz, who is of Cuban descent, made the point while speaking in Washington at a question-and-answer session with the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

He used the example to argue the Republican Party should be able to compete for the Latino vote. Hispanics, Cruz said, share many of the same values that are championed by GOP leaders.

Stupid GOP think they attract Hispanics with Cubans...

Ted Cruz blames Obama — saying the first black president has ‘inflamed racial tensions’

The speech included other controversial assertions, including that the growth of national support for same-sex marriage was “heartbreaking” and that Democrats had tried to “scare” Hispanics into voting for them by talking about immigration.

Cruz said that Obama “could have chosen to be a leader” on race relations, but instead “has made decisions that I think have inflamed racial tensions – that have divided us rather than bringing us together”

Ted just doing wut many good Christians do. Make bad jokes about other people that don't agree with them.

Republican presidential hopeful Ted Cruz has apologized for making a joke about Joe Biden just days after the vice president's eldest son died from brain cancer.

"Vice President Joe Biden. You know the nice thing? You don't need a punchline," the Texas senator said at a GOP dinner in Howell, Michigan, on Wednesday night.

"I promise you it works. The next party you're at, just walk up to someone and say, 'Vice President Joe Biden' and just close your mouth. They will crack up laughing," he said, repeating a joke he has used in previous speeches.

    No, actually.

Flat tax would be neutral, all things equal.

The flat tax proposals I have seen have been fairly straightforward, with generous exemptions for the poor.

The overall benefits to the economy in terms of reducing a lot of the cost associated with filing taxes would arguably help.

I would agree that most conservatives really don't care about poor people, even when those conservatives are themselves poor, but the flat tax is an idea that stands out as something that deserves bipartisan support, IMO.

At Koch Brothers funded summit, Ted Cruz attacks Democrats and fellow GOP lawmakers for kowtowing to billionaires

Cruz also embraced "full out denial" on climate change, claiming it's a liberal plan to control the economy
