I became a a Astros fan when Nolan Ryan and his son joined the management
of the team. After the way Nolan was pushed out at Texas after getting
them to the World Series I switched my state team. I know that the Ryans will
get the team out out of the dumps and make them respectable again. It might
take a few years be they are off the a good start this year with the team is now
in first place in it's division. There will be some up's and down's but they will be better
    than the Rangers in time.......

Colin McHugh wins 10th straight (3-0 for this year) for a 6-3 win over the Mariners.

Relief pitcher Josh Fields is looking to come back to the parent club after
    some rehab pitching Fresno.

Houston is in 1st place in the AL West by 1.5 games over Oakland , 2 games behind is Texas.

Houston has some real pitching talent. And as a Rangers fan, no team in the AL West scares me more over the next five years than the Astros. Young talent already in the bigs and more coming up in the farm system. Good time to be fan.

Astros were pretty scrappy last year and look even better this year. There's something to admire about building a team the right way also. Looks like moving to the AL is exactly what the franchise needed.

Yeah been a tough few years with 100 loses. Hopefully they can sustain this success. Can't wait til this guy gets called up, best prospect in the farm system with comparisons to ARod without the y behavior.

I thought they would be better, but I didn't see this. I'm excited for them as well. Only ty thing is I can't watch any of the games on cable or MLB.TV due to blackout restrictions. I'm planning on coming to Minute Maid when the Royals are in town. Who would have thought that both teams would be the top two in the AL at this point?

BTW, I really don't see anyone from the AL West competing with the 'Stros for the division. SaberLuhnow coming thru.

10 in a row. This is fun. Really hope they can acquire one more starting pitcher. Maybe Cole Hamels.

tore the team down. built up a farm system from scratch and still paying pennies for players. the owner said he knew what he was doing then, and it's paying off now. bringing in nolan to smooth things over is nothing but a win tbh.

Playing great so far. Let's hope they can keep it going. Still need to solidify the back end of the rotation.
