imo thats a really good deal for the team. he's improved every year, has plenty of ability, and now they have some pretty good weapons he can work with. His deep-ball accuracy is still a concern, but it makes sense that they traded away Mike Wallace, a deep ball specialist, and drafted a more versatile DeVante Parker.

Given the contracts other QB's have been getting, this was a damn good deal for Miami

Better QB than Struggle, that's for sure. Seahawks wouldn't be light one with Tannehill under center.

It's a good value deal, but I don't know if he's shown enough for me to commit that many years to him. I guess they have to give it the old college try before deciding against it, though.

what's their alternative? he'd probably get a long term commitment on the open market from a team like buffalo or cleveland... and they'd be stuck with an expensive roster and no quarterback

I don't think I've seen a full Dolphins game with him since he's been there. I've got NFL game pass now, so I might watch some Dolphins games this upcoming season. What were the Dolphins weaknesses last season?

They had a FEW. CB was one and safety was another. I remember them also having some trouble protecting Tannehill and he got sacked alot. MLB was another problem of theirs last year. They should be better on D this year and the receivers should be alot better than what they had, plus the addition of a TE from Cleveland (Cameron?) should be help. Their O will be alot better IMO. They lost a few games in the last minute (Green Bay and Detroit) otherwise they make the playoffs.

He's pretty overrated, mostly because people don't watch the Dolphins and just assume he's a good QB, tbh..it's a no-brainer move for the Dolphins, since the alternatives aren't there, but he's a dink and dunk QB that may be the worst in the NFL at throwing the deep ball(next to Manning, but at least Peyton is old) and hasn't really shown anything in the must-win games the Dolphins have needed..

I would hardly say the worst at the deep ball but he does miss long alot I noticed as a fan... Still his numbers impressive last year and with all the weapons now he should improve even more in some areas. I hope it works out, if not man its the Fins luck tbh
