What a desperate, lame ass move
Probably just a ratings grab from this nearly sunken ship but......will watch.
After 26 years of loving marriage and wedded bliss on TV, Homer and Marge Simpson are going to split.
In an interview with Variety, executive producer Al Jean spoke to the site about the upcoming 27th season and the big move to have Homer play the field.
"In the premiere, it’s discovered after all the years Homer has narcolepsy and it’s an incredible strain on the marriage. Homer and Marge legally separate, and Homer falls in love with his pharmacist, who’s voiced by Lena Dunham," he said.

He continued after dropping this bombs , "We’ll have cameos from the other women from 'Girls.' ... And we have an episode based on the film 'Boyhood.' It’s a flashback/flashforward about Bart. We go to various points in his life and his life to come which I think came out really well."
Jean also spoke to how the show changes over time with big reveals like this.
"You never know what’s going to happen. You air a show and what people react to is not what you expect. What you learn is you have to be constantly prepared to moderate your course because you’re in an environment where feedback is constant," he said.
Well, there's definitely going to be some kind of response to this move.
Finally, Jean got a bit political.
"We’re definitely going to have Homer vote in 2016. One aspect of the pickup that made me happy is that Homer can vote again. He voted for Romney in 2012 because he invented Obamacare. He tried to vote for Obama in 2008 but all his votes went to McCain," he said.

Now I've seen everything. I hope they don't turn Marge into a .
I haven't seen a Simpsons episode since 1999.
They did that with Armin Tamzarian 18 years ago. Hard to believe a show that started off so amazing the first 6-7 years has ended up being about the worst show on TV for most of its run.
What's next, Smithers gets a sex change? Haven't watched this series since the episode 300 special.
Still watch. Binge watch each season after its done. The first 11 seasons were classic. Show has fallen off a cliff but is still watchable. Not as bad as King of the Hills final 3 or four seasons where I would go episodes without laughing.
Family Guy has been steadily going down hill for quite some time as well. South Park has actually been getting better. The first 5 or 6 seasons weren't good but has steadily improved. Best animated comedy IMO at the moment.
Flanders wife is dead. You know he's about to hit it raw and bust all kinds of nuts inside Marge.
On a serious note, The Simpsons prime seasons were ing amazing TV.
They might as well have just cancelled the show when Al Jean, Greg Daniels, Mike Reiss, Bill Oakley, and Josh Weinstein all left, because that's when it stopped being funny. Season 9 was the death of the show.
The Tamzarian episode was bad, but the real low point for me was when they pretty much devoted an episode to how butthurt they were about all the fans criticizing their ty, unfunny writing.

Agree on Simpsons and KotH. Hank just became a regular responsible guy with zero potential for humor. Dale became a caricature of himself from early episodes.
Family Guy started at the ing bottom. Stupidest writing ever but it's easily digestible for people with short attention spans, which is enough to give it killer ratings.
South Park was brilliant from the beginning to like 08. This makes me think you're a ing 16 yr old or something. Not liking early South Park but liking the they've put out recently? From about 08 to 13 it was cringe worthy as a huge fan. They've picked it back up recently
Remember when Homer was creating a dating video for him after she died and you see him in the shower? Yeah, Flanders is endowed
I'd say 99-01 imo. Everything before that was good but everything after they became the animated Colbert/Jon Stewart
When i think of The Simpsons best episodes, the episode that always comes to mind is the one where they all start at the breakfast table and then you get to follow each member of the family throughout their respective days until their stories all meet at the end of the day. It's like Pulp Fiction in cartoon form, it's great. Off the top don't know the name of the episode but Homer loses a finger, Bart is running from the mob, Lisa's science project explodes etc.
This mother er again. How's your mother snatch? You still tappin' it?
>too good for cartoons
>beats a lame joke into the ground
Is there a reason you're using that to try to get to me? I don't think I've ever even mentioned my mom. There's plenty of ammo I've made available for yall
i still remember when my mom didnt allow me to watch this show.....
First Barbie and Ken and now this. SMH
Pushing more degeneracy and destruction of the family unit. Watch one of them go gay next.
But, I'm targeting your mother. Now, does your mother have a big bush?
if true, this actually hurts. I want to still like the Simpsons, and I still catch most of the new episodes, but pretty much the only redeeming quality the show still had (aside from a laugh here and there) was that the family was still together... this makes me wish I had stopped watching long ago.
Smithers has been gay and Patty has been a lesbian pretty much since the show started, tbh.
pretty sure m>s means either Homer or Marge will now be cast as gay.
To keep up with the ever increasing degenerate Hollywood toilet.
