Way streakiest, way less dependable, much worse defender. But, sure.
well pop was on board with getting jr smith

Right, because all he was going to give up was a spot-up shooter that couldn't defend a brick wall and had shrunken-nuts syndrome in crunch time. There was literally no downside, even if he busted. Either way, the guy is no Manu.
Green is just a spot up shooter. He can't even dribble a basketball.
JR when he's on can make his own plays and is basically unguardable
Parker secretly pulled the cord out of the fax machine to keep the Barry's in town.
I'm gonna go ahead and say if we had JR instead if Evita since 2012 we would be working on the 4peat tbh
Just putting that out there
I can't believe you're comparing JR Smith to Kobe. Get outta here lol
When Matthew Delladova scores 30 points the next game, are you gonna suck him off too?
JR has the talent of Kobe. He just parties too much and is .5% as dedicated. Still an on fire JR is as close to Kobe as can get
Delwho?
Saying JR Smith has unlimited talent is such a vanilla take, tbh..
He's a great scorer when he's on..poor passer, average defender, doesn't do anything else at a high level..
He has been a nice role player in Cleveland, but nothing special..
Considering who started this thread, I think JR Smith is going to disappear in the playoffs now.
We need another ball hogging chucker, tbh.
Now I know you're trolling.
You're right. The fact we've never really had a player with an edge has cost us many le chances. We would've won in 2013 if we kept SJax, but I understand no team wanted him at that point with his breakdown.
Our biggest fault is that we don't have a go-to scorer when we need a basket. These days we always have to rely on spot-up shooters to give us the edge back, when we need a Westbrook, JR Smith type person who can take over games and isn't afraid of taking big shots.
We have Patty, and he's as close as it gets to those guys, but Pop seems to hold him back sometimes.
was last night
This, tbh.
We had SJax in 2012 and still couldn't get it done. JR was on the 2009 Nuggets team that made the WCF, and couldn't get it done either.
I'm a fan of gutsy guys, but there's a lot of BS mysticism around them, tbh... There's simply not a better recipe for success than playing well, as seen last year.
jr is a trash chucker and takes stupid shots and a ridiculous amount of 3s. he isn't a recipe for success. sure he looks good now but he wont when he's bricking 3s in the finals. also east basketball is a joke so he can get away with his trash play out there.
Manu actually reached kobe levels. Their stats during the last 5min of a close game were pretty much same. That's a prime kobe, who many have argued was as good as Mike. So let me rehrase that, in last 5min of a game Kobe was 1a and Manu 1b in the ENTIRE LEAGUE currently JR SMITH is hardly top5. and that's reaching....
in last 5min of a game,
I ll take KD over JR
I ll take Stephen Curry over JR
I ll take James Harden over JR
I ll take CP3 over JR
I ll take westbrook over JR
and that's the west, I am sure there are good players on the east as well
holy crap
