Bethesda just added a countdown to the fallout website. Something will be announced tomorrow morning and they also have a panel at E3 too
im hyped es
Dark Souls 3 announcement too
OK, I haven't played any of the Fallout games, but this looks awesome. Are 1, 2, and 3 must plays before this comes out? (assuming it gets a November release for the Christmas season) They're all pretty cheap on Steam. 3 looks like a must for sure, but how about 1 and 2?
Fallout 1 and 2 are not 3D, but isometric. They have, IMO, the bests scripts, including some of the best dark humor you're going to find, and depending on the choices you make throughout the game, at the end it will tell you what happened afterwards based on those decisions (you know, like movies that tell you what happened with the characters afterwards). That's really what made them a classic, besides the post-apocaliptic atmosphere. They're really 10 out of 10 games if you can excuse the visuals compared to nowadays.
I mean, this is the intro to Fallout 1:
Dunno if you have to play them through before Fallout 4, but at least playing some Fallout 1 will give you a good background about the Vaults, Vault-Tec, and a lot of the memes in the game, etc...
Looks pretty awesome. I still love playing Age of Empires 2 and Diablo II, so I don't mind the isometric perspective if the game is awesome. Are these epic length games like Elder Scrolls though? Those kind of games usually take me months to finish. I think I played Dragon Age Inquisition for like 3 months without even touching another game, and I think Skyrim took me even longer.
They can be long. Also, forgot to mention that the combat is turn-based. Not sure how you feel about that. If you do play them, save often! There's no autosave, IIRC.
For something more modern you can go with Fallout 3, but I feel while the game is good, the storyline isn't as great, tbh...
BTW, Fallout 2 is basically an improved Fallout 1, mostly on the gameplay interface and a much larger world. It's a bit harder when you start than Fallout 1. But it has a lot of fun , like becoming "chem reliant" if you do drugs, more sex options, you can become a porn star, etc... That's kinda the stuff that they watered down in Fallout 3, tbh.
Damn I forgot there is Fallout New Vegas. At this rate I might be ready to play Fallout 4 in early 2017 lol.
Fallout NV has a load of mods too, check the Nexus.
That ing dog better be invincible
This is next gen?
Console crap
hallelujah! though the trailer was kinda disappointing.
The view is pretty hard to get used to actually. I'll be walking through the vault and there's three people to talk to completely hidden by the wall.
Back in the day it was the , tbh.... one of the first games to be 640 by 480
I actually downloaded Fallout 1 to play it again at some point...
Good luck with that, the backlog is real
I played for about 30 minutes before the game today. Shooting rats in a cave has to be about the most uneventful opening I have ever seen for a game, but the reviews make it sound awesome so I'll definitely put a few more hours into it.
I thought you got your games from piratebay
I def support the devs that deserve it
Just saw the vids on IGN.... fap fap fap
