Whether it helps or not, and I don't care if others see it or not, but Holm is basically the female jon jones (yes I know she doesn't have the wrestling background) but she uses kicks the most of any female fighter in the division by a long shot.
She can end fights with her side kick to the body. Hopefully Jon is giving her as many tips as possible to keep the distance and fight from the outside; because everyone 135 either doesn't have the ability or their main skill set requires getting close to Ronda which plays into the hands of her Judo skills.
Plus I have confidence in the game plan Jackson comes up with.

Roro and JJ on the same card? Nice!
Anyway about Holly, she's not going to keep Ronda at arms length for a long time. Ronda's a bully, she pushes forward to get the clinch and then it's over.
Strictly in terms of training, I'd have liked Holly to get one more MMA year of experience under her belt but you gotta think that she'll already be 34 come this event... can't wait for too long either.
So yes it's too soon, and she is going to lose, but would I do anything different if I was Dana? Not so sure.
This fight makes so much more sense than the Tate fight (sorry Miesha, still luv ya to death) and is also so much easier to promote... "the judo olympic medalist vs. the boxing world champ", a classic boxing vs wrestling match up, and both of them undefeated...
I'd say Holly is probably the most professionally disciplined fighter Ronda's ever gonna face in the UFC, she knows what it takes to win and stay on top. But given their respective abilities and where they're at right now, there's just too big a gap between them.
They should change Uriah's nickname to "The Replacement"
Uriah Hall replaces Michael Bisping, faces Robert Whittaker at UFC 193

Hall is playing it smart by being the ultimate company man.. Dana used to question his heart, so he is making up for it now with better performances and when his phone rings, he just says yes..
It's tough for me to really get excited about her career, when she has nobody to fight. Women's MMA is going to continue to evolve and IMO when she is long gone, another woman will come along and truly be that legendary champion/fighter. Ronda needs to be tested by a true rival but I think she will be gone before that person emerges. She may be 35 when that girl is around and the do a one off super fight, where Ronda finally loses..
I think that's Rousey's sister playing her at some point
Perhaps it would be in Dana's best interest to have Rhonda take a dive on this one. Seems like the next logical step. Would be easy to do too as Holm is a boxer.
And it's never gonna happen.
Ronda (vs HH)
JJ (vs Letourneau)
Hunt (vs Bigfoot)
Struve (vs Rosholt)
Uriah (vs Whittaker)

...and my Rhonda takes a dive theory. Really is the perfect setup if you think of it.
You guys hoping to get rich
Good luck
Not really a betting man, just have one of those feelings about Holly Holm.
I like fighters that mix up their striking and Holm mixes in kicks much more than 90 % of the woman in the UFC.
