I was rooting for the Cubs, but there was definitely some classic Cubs chokes in that game. That wild pitch turned the tide.

Wouldn't it be something if the Cubs overcame a 3-0 deficit ala the '03 Red Sox?

Be awesome, but that Mets staff is too good. Yanks had a lot of past their prime aces, like Mussina, Kevin Brown, Loaiza, etc. Looking at BBref, that staff averaged over 4.00ERA. Bullpen was even worse aside from Rivera.

Mets staff vs. the Royals Machine will be interesting.

Still, that comeback came outta nowhere with similar cir stances. At any rate, Royals/Mets is gonna be good baseball all around.

I'm hoping both teams put it away today. If the Royals are fortunate enough to win Game 5, I don't want them to be the only team having a long layoff before the World Series starts next Tuesday night.

That said, the Royals aren't out of the woods yet. A loss today and they have to face Price and Stroman in Games 6 & 7. That's why they need to score runs against Estrada. Not sure if Volquez will have the same success he had in Game 1.

worried about Price in the postseason. Dude is quick to mentally collapse, you've seen it first hand.

Far from over. Great thing about baseball is that playing on the road means nothing if your aces can show up (as we saw with MadBum last year). If this was like Houston vs. GS in the NBA playoffs, we'd all pencil in GS for a sure thing game 6 win heading home. If Price can find his clutch, I like him over Ventura (Price needs to go 7 strong innings, though). And then Stroman vs. Cueto in a possible game 7 is a toss up. Cueto is like the Manu Ginobili of pitchers. Never know what you're gonna get.

Cubs were a bull team this postseason. They beat a depleted Cards team. They finally got what was coming to them against the Mets. The Mets are winning the whole thing.
