Yeah, I wanted him to score his penaldo too, and Biglia too... I've said before the cup, there's no excuses for this team anymore... it's time to hit the reset button.
This may sound cliche and dumb but I am not even trying to troll, I think Argentina just need a vocal leader out there... take off pressure from Messi shoulders and let him do what he does best i.e playing football and just that. This retirement announcement in that sense is probably a good first step... Let the team figure out 1 year by itself, let a dude (not sure who btw) take the lead and get back Messi half a year before world cup when an alpha establishes himself.
