On yeah the battle for that ISIS lifeline corridor has started. Turkey already has a large number of soldiers in that area fighting alongside AlQaeda and ISIS. US is also outing their military "advisors" there to serve as human shields for the jihadis. It's gonna be a battle alright, especially since Kurds, Russians and Syrians are weeks ahead in their strategy.
US has already stopped arming and supporting the Kurds at the request of Turkey.
Btw this just in. Obama has just issued a warning to Putin not to intervene in Syrian civil War. Another redline?
