Free Agent Coaches :Tom Thibodeau, Scott Brooks, Kevin Mchale, Mark Jackson, David Blatt , Jeff Hornacek, Brian Shaw, Lionel Hollins,
Likely Available in the market: Luke Walton, Ettore Messina?, Jeff Van Gundy?, Monty Williams?
Teams with (likely) coaching Vacancies: Lakers, Rockets, Nets, Knicks, Wolves, Wizards?, Kings?, Memphis?

Summer coaching free agency is going to be more active than the players , tbh...Wolves maybe best job from young talent-standpoint..

    Knicks: Walton
I would say Phils Zen Feriltizer spreading would work on Walton but, I'm sure he has seen how it turned out for Kerr. I think Kerr helps talk Walton out of it but who knows?

I look for Walton to return to his Flamer roots in L.A.

Why *wouldn't* the Knicks hire Thibs? Great, proven coach who can bring younger players along.

Walton isn't ready for a head coaching job but he's 3x as ready as Fisher was.

Thibs is the only non- coach on the list, maybe Blatt but that's pushing it.

You don't want that. He'll build a team for a few years, get embarrassed in the playoffs and Steve Nash will come and win the Finals the year following his release.

Kerr won the ring last year, Bud won the CotY. Both are from the Spurs. Pop's coaching tree (above) goes all the way back to Phog Allen and on to Naismith. How's Byron's coaching tree? Is there a rope tied to it yet?
