Timmy as well, he barely dares to shoot mid range. For some reason he seems to be unable to make them anymore.

Our defense is pretty elite. Cant deny that. Thanks in large part to Lamarcus.
Still when our long 2s are not falling and we face a good athletic team, its a complete obliteration.
I think they shoot too high of a percentage to meet the definition of chucker.
I saw it a lot during the 90's.
I wonder what happened to Timmy's midrange. He was money from there like 2-3 seasons ago. Now he couldn't throw it in the ocean if he was standing at the end of a pier.

For about 30 years after the 3pt shot was brought over from the ABA, most players and teams used it sparingly. There were a few 3pt specialists, but the shot was still considered a gimmick or set aside for desperation shots at the end of a second clock for a long time.
I think Pop was the first coach to put an analytical pencil to it around 2000 and decide that the 3pt shot made more sense than ANY 2pt. shot--if you could make 33% or better--because you made more points with it in the long run. So players started to be coached to never take a long 2 if they had the range and consistency. They should step back behind the 3pt arc and fire from there. Spurs were the first or among the first to adopt the policy of using the 3pt shot as a natural part of the team strategy.
