Who cares about the total number? Quality over quan y tbh, look at the Wii and all the shovelware crap they tried to put out to capitalize on the Wiimote gimmick
Look how many games there were on the Atari 5200. Who plays more than maybe 15 games a year anyways?

That makes sense. I was having a damn hard time remembering that it had a lot of games.
I play maybe 3-5 games a year. The days of consoles spitting out like Excitebike are long over. Games are huge now with long development times (wasn't ET developed in like six weeks or something) and some can last you 100+ hours of play time.
And you could beat all those games in 10 minutes.
The first year of a console is usually meh, but the following two years have been pretty solid, though nothing particularly good comes out this year imo except FFXV
