for all the rx480 is gettin, how hard is it to get ur hands onto one...seems like t hey only release a limited number to each reseller, and it get sold out so quick..

    same with the nvidia cards...

are they controlling the price by holding out flooding the market with excess supply?

Man AMD is really in the . They have just confirmed Vega for 1H 2017, not even Q1 2017, much less the October 2016 rumors. So GTX 1070/1080 are going to be running unopposed for a year. And if Vega drops at the end of Q2 2017 it might be going up against Nvidia's Volta lineup, which is claiming a 30% improvement over Pascal. It's like AMD is just ceding 1440p and 4k. Watch GTX 1170 be a $500 card, GTX 1160 a $350 one, and GTX 1180 a $750 card.

You think we'll see new Nvidia cards that soon?

I'm kind of skeptical they would release it so quickly, but that's what has been rumored a lot lately and it would line up with Nvidia's earlier roadmaps. I think it wouldn't make a lot of sense though since they don't want to completely kill off AMD and be labeled a monopoly (though they're getting pretty close to being one already).

Wow AMD has the tiest game bundle I have ever seen with a card. If you buy an RX 480 instead of getting an actual game you get a coupon for $20 off Battlefield 1. Except you have to use it on the $80 version of the game.

It's funny, I was watching a video that came out today from Gamers Nexus on youtube where they were showing the GTX 1050 Ti beating out the only three year old GTX 780 Ti that cost $750.

The 7xx line of NVidia cards has probably aged more poorly than any other set of cards in NVidia's lineup, at least in recent history. I built a computer for a friend of mine and feel terrible for setting him up with a 770, it gets chewed up by BF1.

The 200 series aged way worse though, didn't it? I remember the 580 aging really badly too. The 780 has to be far and away the worst card of Kepler though. At least my 970 is still going pretty strong after 2 1/3 years. I was thinking of getting a 1070 but the only game my 970 really struggles on is Mafia 3, which struggles at 1080p on every card other than the an XP.

IIRC the 2xx wasn't that great out of the gate except for the top of the line. The 7xxs were monsters on day 1 but they have fallen off really quickly and Nvidia doesn't support them that well either.

Plenty of people have good experiences w/ those korean monitors, or the QNIX ones.. They're also very overclockable.

Damn Ryzen looks ing legit. Impressive seeing the $400 R7 1700X holding its own against the $1000 i7-6900k.

No they're not, I watched Lisa Su say a couple of days ago that Vega was coming in Q2.

man, Ryzen sucks. The $500 R7 1800X is about on par with the i5-4690k that sold for $230 two and a half years ago when it comes to gaming.

Get in here DJR210, Cry Havoc, ElNono, 140, 313 and the rest of the master race.

I should have figured this was going to have disappointing gaming performance when AMD kept the review embargo until launch date. Though I guess I should have figured this was going to have disappointing gaming performance when I saw the name AMD.

RIP AMD. You guys were awesome from 1997-2006. I guess it's Intel Master Race for good now.

LOL almost a year later and still no answer for the GTX 1070, much less the GTX 1080 Ti coming out Sunday that can do 4k 60 fps in most games at high settings for $700. No way that company isn't bankrupt by 2019 when all their crushing debt comes due.

LOL AMD was trying to make reviewers run their gaming CPU benchmarks at 4k so the tests would be gpu bound and thus give the same results as the Intel i7s. DJR210 where's that pic of you dancing on AMD's grave?
