Regarding OP, I'm actually rooting for Portugal to win, tbh. My grudge against "Euro>WC" folks is bigger than anything else. Portugal, a team that doesn't get out of the group stage of the WC and that would have been eliminated (against the likes of Hungary, Iceland, and Austria) on any seriously constructed compe ion, winning it all would be the ultimate debate ender.

No they haven't really. But anyways, most teams have looked better than Portugal throughout this cup and thay didn't matter.

It depends on how serious that knee injury is. Some were saying broken knee ligaments. That's a year ending injury. Doubt they give it to him playing just half a year. We also have to bare in mind that these last two Madrid and Portugal rings were some of the weakest winners in the history of the sport.
