Damn, nintendo having to appeal to nostalgia to make people pay for their products
Today's consoles
I saw this ....30 games?
Can download all 700 games in 30 seconds tbh.
only 30 games? they sell ing Sega genesis at dollar General for like 30 bucks and it has 80 games
yeah but i only need NBA Jam on genesis.
Sonic brah
It's better on MAME tbh
I can't believe it doesn't have all 97 games
I'm getting this thing just for the nostalgic factor.
Are they remastered into HD at least? It would look like on a 40 inch HD TV if it isn't.
I doubt it. It's probably just roms with filler borders to fill out the screen.
Sure emulators help, but the experience isn't the same
This is just an emulator in a mini Nintendo skin - it's not like it's playing any cartridges. 30 games is weaksauce tbh
Today's yesterday's consoles
Eh, it's just nostalgia. I really want this NES looking thing next to me TV. I already hook up my laptop to the TV to play SNES and other consoles (Genesis) but if Nintendo came out with an SNES mini as well, I would buy that too.
Has anyone bought this thing?

It already has 80 built in games but you can also play Genesis cartridges.
I don't get the point when any computer can run Genesis games flawlessly. Even a Raspberry Pi can play Genesis games.
I wish Sega would come up with an improved last gen Dreamcast.
It would not fail this time.
That's the one console I hear people say they miss the most now that it's gone and its awesomeness was missed by so many people. Terribly underrated console.
It's wasting money for nostalgic , not much to understand. Just to have something that looks like a Genesis or an NES. These things are about the price of one modern game just to splurge.
The dreamcast was already perfect after being modded, you could burn any game to cd and play it
And easy to play burnt games at the time. At first all you need was the utopia boot disk, and swap CDs and then they figured out how to autorun games or some . Piracy and lack of third party developers like EA and other American developers killed the system. SEGA for the most part were churning out games with other Japanese developers.
Remember Bleemcast and how you could run Playstation games on the Dreamcast and not only that, but made them look better? That was insane at the time.
I remember playing NBA 2K against other people on the internet on that thing. I had a modem at the time and that was fun
I bet they will release an upgraded version with a cartridge slot
And with a Nintendo controller
Better experience imo
I have my original NES somewhere in my parents place tbh. The Genesis one at least can play cartridges - I just think the NES one is lazy unless they do indeed allow for expansion (FW upgrade)? I mean, I owned over 30 real NES cartridges myself
