RIP bankruptsung. For you third worlders out there who still have one of their devices, you're best switching to Alpha or the wildly inferior google pixel.
Samsung is trying to limit the fallout from the Galaxy Note 7 tragedy by offering users incentives to exchange the device for another Samsung handset. The strategy appears to be working as several reports suggest that most Galaxy Note 7 owners who are turning in their devices are opting for the company’s other handsets. The CEO of one of the largest mobile carriers in the United States has observed the same. Sprint CEO Marcelo Claure said today that majority of the Galaxy Note 7 users on his network have opted to remain in the Samsung family.
Speaking to reporters in a conference call, Claure said that “Most of them are basically switching to a Galaxy S7.”
