Brooklyn signed RFA Donatas Motiejunas to four-year $37 million deal, according to source. Houston has till Monday to match.
This PATFO prayer for Parker/Manu or bust as primary playmakers for a 3rd consecutive postseason is bordering on sheer incompetence.
Whether he's unready, or simply unsuited for it altogether, the limits of Kawhi in that lead creator role are already showing vs scrub lottery teams, and it would only get uglier facing playoff defenses. For now, his impact in other areas of the game has clearly diminished because of it..

good for Montiejunas!
I hope he's healthy to live up to that contract for Brooklyn.
Same
I really like him as a player and I hope he's able to leave those health problems behind him
This is a preliminary move to Brooklyn's trading Brooks Lopez.
How has Brook Lopez played this season? I haven't seen any Nets games at all.
He's the offense
You should google Brooklyn Nets statistics. There are plenty of sites where you can get a player's stats. (I think Hollinger's has him ranked as the 9th best center in the league with a PER of about 22.) He is a somewhat slow-footed, traditional center who is better offensively than defensively. Still, he puts up very good numbers while playing on one of the worst teams in the league. He has been rumored to be on the trading block off and on since last season.

Josh Smith would bring nothing to this team.
Tbh, the team needs another versatile guard that isn't Tony or Manu to compete for a le. Gasol going to the bench would be nice too...
I'm not interested in Josh Smith, but out of curiosity - Can he actually play defense, or was he just a decent shot blocker while being an average overall defender?
