Honestly, this team could easily be 7-2. Basically snatched defeat from the jaws of victory against Arizona St and UTEP.
I'm liking the direction we're headed in though. Very young, promising team and have the best recruiting class in CUSA (Top 60 overall IIRC). Pete Golding will be a sought after defensive coordinator in a couple of years.

Not saying UTSA would be favored by any means. I'm just not shaking in my boots at the thought of playing UT either.
Not saying you should be shaking in your boots but I'm saying Texas' talent can overwhelm against non-power 5 conference teams like it did against UTEP. Texas had 6 turnover in the Kansas game. I wouldn't count on that happening again.
You mean against bad non-power 5 teams? UTEP sucks. The fact that UTSA choked a game away against them doesn't change that. We weren't overwhelmed by any of the average P5 teams we played, not sure why an average UT would be so much scarier.
Congrats on making a bowl. Big step for this program. So far, I've been wrong about Frank Wilson.

A lot of the concerns about Wilson were legit. Fortunately, I think he did a good job of choosing his coordinators. Scelfo brings a lot of experience to the table and our DC Golding will probably get plucked away by a bigger program in the near future.

Hey FKLA, our South Alabama Jags are going bowling too despite finishing 2-6 in conference play. Thankfully we upset both Mississippi St and San Diego St.
Congrats brah. Y'all really had a roller coaster season but atleast you get to go bowling again.
I also saw that semi indoor practice facility y'all are building. Not too shabby. Looks like a sup'd up version of UAB's. I wonder if that will become the norm for G5s.
Could've done a better job with the banner on the wall imo. Maybe removed the fire extinguisher.
