It's puzzling first because it's not clear why Haley would want the job.

And it's puzzling second because she has no foreign policy background and has criticized Trump in the past:

Haley is a woman, and she's the daughter of immigrants.

Trump wants a few non-white non-males in his cabinet, and he likely couldn't care less about the UN. So why not? He's not rewarding anyone and he's not worried about 2020.

Nor does he care that Haley is bizarrely unqualified for a job that dozens of people would kill for. He's just checking off a box.

Minutes after it was reported that Trump had offered Carson the job to head up HUD, critics on Twitter noted that Carson has no experience in the realm of housing development

Trump offers housing secretary job to man who wants to gut law banning housing discrimination

It would be a bonanza for banks if he succeeds.

Carson, however, has not been completely silent on housing policy.

In 2015, he signed an op-ed in the Washington Times

critical of the Obama administration’s efforts to desegregate neighborhoods.

In that op-ed, Carson also

criticized a Supreme Court decision which left intact a key provision of the federal law banning housing discrimination.

Carson believes that, despite this continuing discrimination,

the Fair Housing Act needs to be weaker.

In his Washington Times op-ed,

the former surgeon labeled disparate impact suits “mandated social-engineering schemes,” and dismissed them as part of a “history of failed socialist experiments in this country.”

Carson also aligned himself with a dissenting opinion by Justice Samuel Alito, which would have eliminated such suits under the Fair Housing Act.

So Trump’s leading candidate to lead HUD, a man who may currently be considering a offer to take over that department, would prefer to gut the law preventing housing discrimination — a decision that would come at great cost to people of color, but would be a tremendous financial boon to banks.

Trump, Bannon Charities Looking Even Dodgier Than Ever

Shorter Washington Post: Trump advisor and

alt-right superstar Steve Bannon set up a charity in 2012 which was then used to pay nearly $2 million in salaries to himself and two other Breitbart writers over the next four years.

Bannon supposedly worked 30 hours a week for the charity while also working full-time for Breitbart.

The other two worked 40 hours a week for the charity.

How did they manage that? "They all work long hours," the charity's spokesperson said.

Just took a look at the Common Core website. Are they serious? 1st grade: Compose two-dimensional shapes (rectangles, squares, trapezoids, triangles, half-circles, and quarter-circles) or three-dimensional shapes (cubes, right rectangular prisms, right circular cones, and right circular cylinders) to create a composite shape, and compose new shapes from the composite shape.

Why do they complicate matters with all these terms? These are 6 year olds. Stick to the basics. Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division, Fractions, Decimals, Percentages, Ratios/Proportions - Algebra and then Geometry (that's when all that stuff above should be taught) - not in 1st grade to 6 year olds - no wonder we suck at math - they're confused.
