This is sort of me. I picked up a 34" widescreen monitor because it was such a good deal. Also because I've heard incredible things about freesync and want to give it a shot.

I got The Last of Us for $10, and Bloodborne, God of War III, and Uncharted Nathan Drake Collection for $15. I know DJR210 is rolling in his grave at the news.

I got a 6 GB 1060 for 220.00.. Not a huge savings, but a decent enough deal on a damn good 1080p card. Looking forward to modding the outta some GTA V, Skyrim, etc. w/ as many 4K texture mods as I can find.. Will try Shadow of Mordor w/ the textures on ultra also..

Yup, I picked it up for $250 on ebay. Normally retails for ~$400(?), and was a good price at that point. Looked on newegg and they had it for $280. I think the $220 was the one without freesync.

Nice. 2560x1080 won't require breaking the bank on a new gpu to play games at 75 fps. GTX 970, R9 290/290x, RX 480, GTX 1060 are all capable of pushing that resolution really well.

Nope. As soon as I get a PS4 I'm going to jump on The Last of Us. If FFXV can't hold 60 fps after the December patch for PS4 Pro I'm just going to buy the Slim. It doesn't look good for there being a 60 fps version of the game though since the one that released today sometimes struggles to stay at 30 fps on the high framerate mode for PS4 Pro.

I should have just bought a Slim yesterday for $250.
