I was thinking about this yesterday tbh. On a broader level in that should they just do away with the kicking game altogether? Other than punts. Just start everything off with the ball on the 25 or something.
Be allowed to win games? Yes, I'm a little salty about last night but I've hated games being decided by a "game winning" field goal" since I started watching the NFL. Should field goals just not be allowed in the 4th qtr? Idk, to me it's just not real football.

What's funny? I've hated it ever since brady and the pats were "winning" playoff games with field goals. It's a lame way to win games.
I honestly wouldn't mind. To me, field goals add nothing to the game.
People always laugh at the great thinkers Rob.
Indeed.
The only thing they add to the game is forcing TD's to be 6 points. Get away with the kicking and we can keep score by 1's. People about soccer being low scoring while the NFL awards multiple points for most scoring events.

Pretty good article I just found. Skimmed through it but it pretty much describes how I feel about field goals.
No way this thread is made if Dallas won by a field goal
I've made it before in other forums TBH.
Seriously. I doubt the NFL will ever get rid of them because it provides multiple spots for commercials.
It would have not been made after a Dallas win.
Listen...Rob's mom is a . For sure. But that doesn't mean that Rob is so biased that he would recommend changing the game because of one loss.
IDK how to respond to this.
Whoops. I didn't mean to insinuate that she takes money for sex. Just that she's super easy.
Wow. I think Avante and SuperCam have legit compe ion now for the worst football take of the year.
It is called "Foot"ball after all.....
Me and Rob don't have much in common other than both spending time in his mom. But I agree with him 100% on this.
Get rid of the kicking game and in a few years, no one will give a .
The NFL has become dull and predictable enough nowadays without getting rid of things like onside kicks that can help make comebacks happen, missed FGs/XPs that keep games interesting, and big kickoff/punt returns that add a jolt of excitement to games. Plus, I'm pretty sure the players' and coaches' unions would have an issue with basically getting rid of special teams.
Get rid of the kicking game and the sport becomes even more quarterback-dependent than it already is.
So if you want to go that route, why even continue to make it a game where field position actually matters? Why not just make it like a backyard game of thanksgiving football where each team takes turns starting at the same spot and tries to score
