Actually it's pretty clear that snakes and a few other vertebrates reverted to asexual reproduction from sexual which is quite interesting. But not unexpected.
I will now ask ST to ponder why humans, killer whales, and pilot whales are the only species that have females who go through menopause. Elephants, rhinos, other big mammals with social hierarchy do not ruin the oven with hormones. Fish of course have older females that just explode with eggs at an old age and just keep getting bigger as well.
