Pop is a got.
would he have closed the game or would Pop still have benched him? Was it a "he needs to get over himself" moment or was he more concerned with his defense?
The latter, most likely. Plus, he usually just doesn't trust rook's in crunch time. But Murray's time is coming, and it's coming quickly.
I think he'll get addressed on that issue, yeah.
Even during that Denver game, he'd stare at the bench when he hit a couple shots so I'm sure Pop noticed that too.
Actually thought of that. He was playing great and suddenly benched
The Bobby Knight of the NBA can't have that at Spurs University. Need to tear him down, let him know his scholarship can be recalled.
No way he would've played in the 4th and overtime. He made some runners, but he also got his pocket picked a couple times and that won't get you crunch time minutes.
I remember seeing Murray get into it with Liggins before the time out was called but could only see a brief glimpse of it and the cameras immediately panned away. After that scuffle Murray never played again. Pop also had it in for Bertans when he got into a scuffle with Monroe. This one of the things I can't stand about Pop is he really has it in for guys who stand up for themselves and fight back from being bullied by other players. Pop prefers passive resistance which to me is bs.
He better dead it soon or he won't be a Spur for long, tbh..Pop's leash for outspoken or arrogant Black American players is very short..he usually avoids them, altogether..
He was benched because he was too erratic and in a close game, it's difficult to trust players like that in the 4th.
So Pop opted for Mills, Ginobili and Leonard handling the ball....
But he was huge in the minutes he played. Really showed up against Kyrie and he took it to heart..Guy wanted to own Kyrie.
Yes sir
Wasn't he jawing w/ their scrub defender Liggins?
Both of them, tbh.
Who's got time for arrogance, period.
yea i love murray...love the fire...but let it come out in your play...not these scrums with scrubs...he is LEVELS above these dudes...
Even if he weren't, it was too soon to trust him against an elite team, on the road no less. Besides, the ball was primarily going to be in Leonard's hands down the stretch anyway and they were already closing with a limited shooter, so having two probably would have swung the game.
That's what Putin said.
He didn't handle double teams very well, so I doubt Pop trusts him just yet with game on the line.
You Pop haters are too funny!
Such a soft fanbase... Melting down at every little decision
Has nothing to do with arrogant black players dude. Its arrogance altogether. (And I don't think that's why Murray didn't play late. He's a rookie, its not surprising) Idk why you keep making this about race
