Yeah just finished it today. Awesome game and I heard its even better on VR.

Mind boggling how IGN graded this a 7 while a ty COD gets a 9...
if they can build on the foundations they have right now and fix some of the minor flaws in the game for the next game..it could become a GOTY candidate.

    1. Make the ouzzels challenging
    2. Add more enemy variety
    3. Increase difficulty.

But seriously, amazing setup and a horror game that relies more on atmosphere rather than ty scares...

Feels like a an RE or Silent Hill game from ps1.

    9/10 game, imo

    I finished it in 10..

9/10 is probably too high as an overall package. It doesnt have replay value, imo...

But anything under an 8 in todays gaming pretty much means dont buy it for the average consumer...For a game that I really enjoyed, there is no way this game is 7.7..No way.

8 at worst, 9 at best.

Compare to 6 this is a major step up. It finally went back to the horror, the creepy atmosphere that made the early games great.

The game is still lacking something. Maybe the zombies, I dont know. The story is kind of ty too.

I was so close to buying this until I learned about how short it is.
Same here. May still end up buying it because I liked the feel of it but will wait for a price drop or will have one of my friends to lend it to me.

Why don't you just rent it and beat it in a night or two?

    Rent? From where?

I've never been a game renter. I dont like feeling rushed.

I often buy games and never play them until months later. I bought Uncharted 4 a day before it came out and I only beat it like 2 months ago.

I was thinking about getting it but depends on one thing
Are the jump scares the most prevalent way of this game bein “scary?” I'm not into that tbh so if it's mainly centered around that like outlast I may skip

Redbox tbh saved me a lot of money on ty games by trying them first

As for the game.. 5-6 hours is ing terrible.. And does this game have anything to do with the RE storyline?

It's somewhat of a reboot but yes it is connected to the main story-line...but the game itself focuses on a smaller scale.

It's a lot more similar to the first Silent Hills game in terms of concept, but it still feels like an RE game..Very similar feeling to the first couple of games.

relies on more atmosphere than jump scares..

It has its flaws, but any series that tries to change direction will have flaws. It's unavoidable.

The puzzles feels like it was made for 5 year olds, the normal enemies feel slow and "easy", and the reply value is non-existent imo..but It does so many things right.

It relies more an the environment and atmosphere to generate a horror feel, the main antagonist ( though cliche) are scary and interesting, the game play is solid (shooting could use work)...
