Aggy thought that it be easier when Strong left, we're number 2 now. I don't necessarily think that it'll be easier if they hire the right coach.
LOL, LSU is stuck with Farmer Fran for two more seasons, and Aggsy is about to start their coaching search. Recruiting in Texas is going to get a lot easier in 2019.
Depending on who the Aggsy pick as their new coach, I have the feeling it will be easier for a good long time.

You also don't give up that much to a Kansas offense.
This was not TT or WV. It's frkn Kansas. Even with a CB out.
Next man up means absolutely nothing right now.
If they had not turned the ball over to our secondary, it would have been very tight.
So This inconsistency is astounding.
We need legit walk ons.
Or try to convince our older kids not getting PT they need to stay and not transfer.
Or both.
It's only TH 1st year and we have had a lot of sorry luck with injuries.
Two more Conf games against legit offenses. Step up.

Update on five-star WR Terrace Marshall of Bossier City, LA from The Football Brainiacs.
The UT official visit is supposedly going extremely well and the family is liking Herman's sales pitch.
Marshall's father said the visit is “very much exceeding our expectations”.
As far as his finalists go...
A&M - they aren't really in the race due to the coaching situation.
Alabama - they may not receive an official visit because of their lack of WR usage.
Florida State - Marshall is concerned about their historically bad season.
LSU - considered to be the favorite due to proximity, but the Marshall family doesn't like that a lot blue-chip WRs don't have success there.
Quote from a source on OL/DL Chasen Hines of Marshall (The Football Brainiacs):
“It’s very real for him. If they push for him, they’ve got a chance. He’s close to Keontay [Ingram].”
how do u explain aggy out recruiting ut dline................giles?...................
3 things from the Kansas game
1. Personnel decisions are not very good. Rotating your best players in-and-out on O is absurd when you're trying to get some kind of continuity.
2. Play calling (again) is mind-boggling. Playing to our strengths (which isn't much) isn't happening. I'm no expert, but when something successful on O happens, we scratch it and don't use it again for some reason.
3. Holton Hill's impact was greater than I thought it would be on D. He's the definition of a true shut down corner and will be sorely missed.

Texas also managed to get Alabama athlete commit Vernon Jackson on campus for an unofficial visit. I spoke to our Alabama recruiting reporter, Hank South, and he said that Jackson is looking around and might want to stay closer to home. Texas A&M was the in-state favorite for Jackson before his decision, but with so much uncertainty in College Station, the door is open for the Longhorns to make a move. Texas is recruiting Jackson as a defensive lineman, and obviously, there is a major need up front.

By all accounts- things went very well with TE recruit Luke Ford on his official to Texas this weekend. (All sites)
I have a feeling one will come his way eventually. He reminds me a little of a Poona Ford coming out of High School; a little under-sized with a big motor.
From what I've read, yes. Giles seems like a weak recruiter this cycle. Then again, it hasn't been an easy cycle to recruit DL since no one leaned Texas and there was lots of group to make up.
I know that as an Aggy, this is a place where you should feel happy about. Let me remind you though, #2 class. New staffs can pull this off by using any pitch in the book.
I get the feeling that this the type of recruitment where the staff can offer at any moment and get the flip so there's no urgency.
Shhh... don't tell him our record. But if it's really down to these teams, then Texas should be in it.
Inside Texas now reporting that OL Connor Williams will be returning against West Virginia.
Per OrangeBloods, WR Terrace Marshall and LB DaShaun White will be in Austin until tomorrow.
