so the guy who killed leading to the kate's law proposal.. had been deported more than once and re-entered. and so the FEDS captured him and he served 4 years in federal prison. those FEDS chose to send him over to SF, because he had a pending marijuana charge (which was subsequently dismissed). he had no violent felonies on record, so SF let him go.
if the Feds were so interested in deport deport deport, they should have just shipped him out instead of delivering him to SF for a freakin marijuana charge, full well knowing that local SF law enforcement isn't going to do their immigration bidding
