his utter lack of relevant experience isn’t exactly panning out. The Israel-Palestine conflict is a problem which has eluded far smarter, far more experienced, and far better-intentioned men.
Kushner has already proven he can’t be trusted with the responsibility.
Today, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas suspended all contact with Israel in protest of the metal detectors the Israelis have placed at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, reports The Associated Press.
Abbas previously asked Jared Kushner to help get the detectors removed.
Israel has placed metal detectors at the mosque and banned all Muslim men under the age of fifty from entering.
Protests over the move have already led to mass protests and dozens of injuries.
Abbas reached out to Kushner yesterday by phone, requesting his help, reports The Times of Israel.
Not surprisingly, Kushner was not up to the task. Kushner’s failure to engage with and mediate the Al-Aqsa dispute is having serious political ramifications.
