So the Raiders draft John Ross the fastest receiver in the draft. They have had...

    Cliff Branch
    Alvis Whitted
    James Jett
    Jacoby Ford
    Willie Gault
    Sm Graddy

...at WR, all faster than Ross.

Olympic sprinter Marvin Bracey who did the below at the HS level...

....is going to give the NFL a shot. He started by running a 4.30 at FSU (his school) pro day. He is faster than Tyreek Hill. Some team will think about Hill and what great speed can do and give Bracey a shot.

A 10.05 would have won every Olympics until 1980.

    USA 2016 100m rankings

I won't count Olympic 100m champ Jim Hines and his WR 9.95, he was no footballer, he was an experiment that failed. Jeff Demps never played in a reg season game, so can't count his 10.01.

If Bracey does make it, then the All Time NFL 100m would look like this.

    lane

    1.Darrel Green 10.08
    2.Alvis Whitted 10.07
    3.Trindon Holliday 10.00
    4.Bob Hayes 10.06
    5.Jacoby Ford 10.01
    6.Sam Graddy 10.09
7.Marvin Bracey.........9.94, yep, he'd be the fastest NFLer ever time wise.
    8.Ron Brown 10.06

Whitted, Ford, Graddy and Brown all Raiders sometime in their career.

Willie McGee's 9.1 for yards can't be ignored, it was a WR.

    A stud white RB, hmmmmmmm?

Best white RB for each team if they had one.

Those Lombardi Packers teams had two HOF to be white backs in Jim Taylor and Paul Hornung.
The Bears once had the great Bronko Nagurski and Red Grange The Galloping Ghost.
In SBIII the Colts had slow pokes Tom Matte and Jerry Hill.

Heisman winner Billy Cannon (LSU) the fastest white running back in football. A legit 9.5 sprinter.

    Niners...Hugh "King" McElhenny HOF
    Seahawks...Dan Doornik
    Rams...."Jaguar" Jon Arnett
    Cards...John David Crow
    Packers..Jim Taylor HOF
    Bears..."The Galloping Ghost" HOF
    Vikes...Bill Brown
    Lions...Doak Walker
    Buc's...Mile Alstott
    Panthers...Chris McCaffrey
    Saints...Gil Fenerty

    Keith Lincoln Chargers
    Marv Hubbard Raiders
    Paul Hornung Packers HOF
    Bronko Nagurski Bears HOF
    Tommy Mason Vikes
    Ken Willard Niners

All season long you will hear about how McCaffreys grandfather was once the fastest man in the world. Trust me, that was never true.

    Dave Sime in lane 1.

He was the second fastest man in the world. And, he never held the WR at 100m, yes he did hold the 9.3 WR for yards.

Is that Lyle Lovett as the starter?

    Russell Wison

    NFL records/firsts

    4000/30/500
most wins by a five year QB
highest QB rating frst two seasons
    rookie TD record
most SB's by a third year QB

    Pro Bowl MVP
left the NCAA as the single season passing leader
17 best player in the league in 2016, voted on by his peers

Need I go on and on and on?

Compare his first five seasons to Tom Brady, what do we see?

Only an idiot wouldn't get this.

Yes, I;d take Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, Philip Rivers, Big Ben over Russell Wilson. But that is it as far as current QB's goes.

    Niners...suck.
    Rams...suck.
    Cards...old
    Vikes...haha~~~
    Bears..suck.
    Lions...Staffford is good.
    Cowboys...Prescott is looking great, but...
    Redskins....???
    Eagles...nay~~~
    Giants....good but too limited.
Falcons....great but has nothing on RW
    Panthers...he's already on the decline
Buc;s...has done nothing better than RW
    Raiders...see above.
    Chiefs...good.
    Broncos...????
    Ravens...just compare their stats.
    Browns...suck
    Bengals...suck
    Jets...suck
    Bills...suck
    Dolphins...suck
    Texans...???
    Jags...suck
    Colts..Luck is good.
    ans...good.

    Pertinent to the Panthers.

When's the last Black QB1/White RB1 combo in the NFL, Avante ? Since you're full of trivia.

NCAA 60m champion Christian Coleman (Tennessee) just ran a football 40 in 4.12. He is the fastest cat in the NCAA in 2017.

Story goes that Darrel Green once ran a 4.09. This was done at the Redskins facility, so...???

Because usually you see white qb/black bell cow, not the other way around. Not very many white rb's around these days and they're all the scat back / third down type like Woodhead, but not McCaffrey, he's a true RB1 and you don't draft anything other than that in the top 10.

Hugh "The King" McElhenny (Niners) was a Cali State hurdles champion in HS. He had black speed and agility, a fantastic runner. He was the best pure runner among white RB's.

"Jaguar" Jon Arnett out of USC was an amzing runner, he had speed, quicks and that elusveness. Played with the Rams.

Houston's ie Post (Chargers) lead the AFL in rushing. He was super quick and had that burst.

We can't count Red Grange The Galloping Ghost because he never faced any black athletes.

    Craig James SMU could motor.
Billy Cannon LSU had a good season with the Oilers. A Heisman winner.

Mike Alstott, Larry Csonka, Jim Taylor and John Riggins were power backs.

Paul Hornung and Frank Gifford multi talented cats.

John David Crow was a 1000 yarder with the Cards.

McElhenny, Grange, Csonka, Taylor and Riggins, all in te HOF.

McCaffrey the closest thing to McElhenny we've seen. He's not as elusive but a better receiver.

I;m thinking the Browns Peyton Hillis the last white RB to have a 1000 yard season.

    Can;t ignore....

Mark Van Eeghan and Marv Hubbard Raiders
    Keith Lincoln Chargers
    Ed Podolak Chiefs
    Nick Pietrasonte Lions
    Rick Casares Bears
    Ken Willard Niners
    Rocky Bliear Steelers
    Bill Brown/Tommy Mason Vikes

All cool and everything... but... who was the last starting white RB to have a black QB?

If you can't find a combo before this Newton/McCaffrey pairing... this could be a huge historical moment.

It's like a white man marrying a black woman. It almost never happens... so elusive... but the opposite way happens so often (like white QB, black RB) that it's so ubiquitous that we don't even look twice when it's black guy/white girl.

Do you see McCaffrey being the starting every down RB? I don't. Why bang a speedster like him into the line?

I'd never thought about a black QB/white RB, but since I know all of both....hmmmmm?

He's well over 200 pounds though so he could be a three down back. Also pick up the blitz and run between the tackles on third and one.

Do you really think they brought in a guy like McCaffrey to bang the line? He's not there for that. He's in Carolina to make splash plays, chunk of yardage plays, ya don't risk him...bang~~~

I don't see him as the starting RB. This cat needs to be out in space.

I'm going to find a black QB/white RB, I just don't think we'll see it to where both were the starters.

Was Vince Evans in Oakland the same time Van Eeghan was? Marv Hubbard? Was James Harris a Ram with John Cappelletti? Cunningham never played with a white RB? Warren Moon?

You don't draft someone #8 overall after a losing season to only play 35% of the snaps or less.

Also, Stew Stew has gotten old... and slow. Very slow. Slow as the cookin' of a crock pot full of stew-art.

Who said anything about 35%? You also don't draft a guy like McCaffrey to ....thrre yards and a cloud of dust. Any back can thump. This guy is a race horse and will be used like one.

Stewart is still a "good" RB, he'll do the heavy lifting.

Stewart moves like molasses these days... he's 31. He got 3, 5, or 8 yards seemingly every time he got the ball in 2015. Not the case last year. He just couldn't move. Which meant, 2nd down, 3rd down, Newton drop back, hang in the pocket... WHAM, thud!
