Everybody was saying he was going to put Lewis at #2 when it was all said and done. I thought he killed Brad Smith
We all know he retired early, but how good could he have been if he kept going? I'm talking about all time greats. You think he could have cracked that list?
Even though he was an Ole Miss Alum...I still enjoyed watching that dude play and rooted for him.

Definitely one of the best to play the position, no question. Dude was a monster.
What a sad sad situation for us Niners fans. What a stud this guy was, a seven time pro bowler, a five time first team All Pro. I have no doubts if he'd played longer he'd be right there with the best ever LB's. He is the best ever Niner LB (sorry Dave Wilcox).
Once you got past Jamarcus Russell at #1 the 1st Round of the 2007 Draft was loaded. Calvin Johnson, Joe Thomas, Adrian Peterson, Patrick Willis, Marshawn Lynch and Darrelle Revis all in the first fifteen picks.
Marshall Yanda was in that draft too. How many will get into the Hall?
Greg Olsen went in that 1st round, too. I'd say Megatron, JT, A-Pete and Revis should all get into the Hall, with Patrick Willis being a borderline guy.
That 49ers 4-3 was beastly from 2011-first half of 2014. Didn't even need to go nickel because they had 3 great linebackers who could both cover in space and stuff the run. Willis, Bowman, Brooks. You just don't see that anymore in the NFL.
Willis and Bowman were short lived, but arguably the best LB tandem ever.
Hope to see that sort of thing in Dallas this year tbh.
