Samsung Chief Charged With Bribery and Embezzlement
After a three-month investigation, the acting head of Samsung, Lee Jae-yong, has been charged with bribery and embezzlement in connection with the corruption scandal that led to the impeachment of South Korea's president Park Geun-hye.
NPR reports: NPR's Elise Hu reported from Seoul that prosecutors announced the indictment after a three-month investigation: "Samsung acting head Lee Jae-Yong got ensnared after do ents showed Samsung funneled some $36 million to the president's close confidant. Prosecutors say the money was paid to win government support of a controversial 2015 company merger. The merger did go through, after a vote of support from the government. In a statement, Samsung says it has not paid bribes or made improper requests to the government. Lee is currently in jail awaiting further proceedings in his case." Lee was arrested on Feb. 17, two months after President Park Geun-hye was impeached over allegations of corruption, influence-peddling and cult ties, as we reported. Those corruption allegations were directly tied to the charges brought against Lee, who also goes by the name Jay Y. Lee.

Anyone who uses any smartphone that isn't made by Apple
Owning an iPhone means getting all of Poorsung's new features before they can rip them off
ElNono are the *classic* s5 s5A's the last of the solid Samsungs?
Moving forward will one have to join a liberal Gaybar as part of their Apple purchase?
Has Apple stolen thus caught up with Samsung on display and camera picture quality yet?

The iPhone 7 Plus' and Galaxy S7's cameras are so close in quality at this point, it's like splitting hairs. And the next iPhones are going to have OLED displays. Apple has even reportedly hired Cucksung to manufacture them
Apple always wins.
buying from Samsung is winning over Samsung?
Convincing Cucksung to make the displays for the phones that are going to crush the Galaxy line once and for all is an alpha move by Apple, tbh.
I have no idea tbh... but nowadays, IMO, it's silly to buy anything on a contract anyways... some of those Hawei phones are pretty damn good too.
As I'm sure you have noticed, whatever phone if you wait until 18 months after it's launch, the damn thing can be had for 75% off of what it was launched at.
And that is OEM. Not some knockoff and not refurbished. Well I haven't followed Apple but I know Samsung even before the meltdown an s5 that launched at $650 was $230 OEM out of the box 18 months later.
Not to mention their alleged prices on buy plans, which in reality are bull figures. (Example "$199 for an i6s on payment plan"

So I'm thinking I don't have to have the latest newest greatest purported phone. Just wait 18 months. Or I will check out those Hawei phones.
