I've been thinking of trying my hands at this game.
It reminds me a lot of Shenmue with the day cycles, jobs, social dates and so on.
Never played any game in the series and I was 16 the last time I played a JRPG..
But my God the Scores this game is getting...They're making a kiling. I wonder if I should buy this game.

Also, Another game that is lifing the embargo 6 days before release.
They must be really confident with their game.
This game has been out in Japan since december of last year. We're now just getting it. LOL
Lifting embargos days before release is a fantastic marketing move for good games....allows for hype building.
Horizon zero dawn nailed it by lifting the embargo 8 days before release.
You know a game is terrific if they're lifting embargos 7-14 days vefore release.
I guess so.
But they must have had a wetern media embargo of some sort.
I really liked Persona 3 and Persona 4 back in the day. Final Fantasy went off the tracks with their ty battle systems while the Persona games kept the turn-based battles while mixing in elements like collecting monsters to battle for you, them evolving and getting crazy ass powers. You could also combine monsters and their powers to create some crazy . The games were also more mature seeing as there's murders and stuff in the storyline. Persona games were the goth to the Final Fantasy games. Just darker.
I just pre-ordered it.
I wasn't even planning to but then I remembered how much I liked the series and seeing the good reviews for it plus I felt like playing an old-school JRPG-style game, it.
I just did the same.
Amazon has the steelbook edition for the same price as the regular edition for the PS4. I was surprised.
Got it in the mail today. Apparently they ran out of stock for the steelbook case so they had to send it from another facility from Indiana.
Nothing special. imo
I started this against my better judgment, since I have half-a-dozen other games I haven't finished yet, and it's pretty fun. I played on Hard and it seems--just like P4--that the game is hardest at the beginning. I'm loving the art direction and the UI. Persona 5 is aesthetically pleasing.
