What a lazy play by Cleveland LF and shortstop.
This is going to be very tough to live down. Almost every strength the Indians had during the season- Kluber, Lindor, Ramirez, the defense, o's managing- just vanished in this series. 102 wins, a 22-game winning streak, all down the drain. Give credit to the Yankees, they were the better ballclub and they deserved to win. Good luck to everyone left standing, particularly the Astros.
The Indians choked. We're going to just have to live with that.

Wow. That Gardner AB was incredible. incredibly clutch.
Indians really melted down. This is over. 3 straight Dominicans coming up, so expect the baseball equivalent of chucking (i.e. coming out of their shoes trying to dinger).
LeBron is the GOAT. He actually brought a ring to Cleveland... Cleveland! Just amazing to think about when you watch the Indians blow their millionth series lead and the Browns get their pushed in by any team that isn't owned by Dean Spanos.
Something's off with Kluber. So many hanging breaking balls in the zone over this series. And Lindor was just awful aside from the big Salami. That double-play was simply killer. They also went away from working counts and trying to put the ball in play as they did during the regular, opting to proverbially "go deep" every time up. They were the hardest team to strikeout and now everyone is Rob Deer.
I will say this... if anyone can choke this right back to the Indians, it's Chapman.
That AB was pure baseball. The post-game equivalent of baseball. Uppercut swinging trying to dinger is like 3 point chucking. Ty Cobb is smiling in .
Gonna say Astros in 5, but if Judge/Sanchez wake up we could get a 7 game series.
Should also be fun to see Judge vs Altuve.
There does seem to be something physically wrong with Kluber.
The rest of this club? They just choked. They got fat and happy beating up on the White Sox and Tigers and the minute they encountered some resistance they folded. No two ways about it. I hate to say it because I thought this club had a little more character than that.
Golden State / Laker sniffers simply cannot grasp this.
The cameras did not verify, so cannot say for sure but it appeared Giardi had no one warming up during the long NY at bat.
Back in the 4th when he left Sabbatha in for 4 straight singles. What a dumb .
All will be forgiven and forgotten if they win the WS.
