Jabari is probably my favorite Spurs beat writer...
Isn't Cook that guy who got sonned by Bryn?
Not worried about this signing. The Warriors snatched up Briante last year but let him go. Apparently, they're also letting Looney walk.

Kyle's great at being a glue guy. I would like to see him and Gay as the starting forwards.
Yep, Kyle is a solid piece at the 4 spot with a versatile lineup. Spurstalk would be all over his nuts if gsw drafted him. Just look at the response Bell got. A worse prospect than Ka ever was tbh.
It just seems to me like Jabari genuinely likes the players and can relate to them. His interviews are always more accessible and friendly with the players. He's done all these off the court interviews with all the guys, the rookies, the veterans... over the past couple of years he's talked to a lot of them. The most recent ones I posted were with Kyle and Bryn Forbes, but he's sat down with a lot of the guys. Contrary to the other SA reporters, he doesn't limit himself to asking cliche cookie cutter questions.
He got mixed up with JSimms agent reporting about his negotiation with the Spurs or what not, but he was the only SA reporter that was digging information about it. He also reported about Lamarcus being unhappy way, way back. He might look amateurish at times, but Jabari is the most genuine. I should post something to his tweet to encourage him.
Also, I assume most of those guys in the 2014 draft class are staying with their teams. It's just a matter of establishing their market price, and some of them have to stay healthy for a season (like Lavine and Jabari Parker). Aaron Gordon may be very expensive but if he breaks out as a MIP or something of that nature, Magic will match on him. It will be interesting to follow.
i take back what i said about rose. he said recently that he had been playing revenge basketball but he’s over that now. reminded of what lebron said after his first season in miami.
Jabari with more insight:
He's waiting for that max extension (which would be $54M/4 if anyone really wants to know).
Here’s a fun ringer article on best case/worst case scenarios for this season:
https://www.theringer.com/platform/a...s-preview-2017
Probably so. As soon as the Aldridge news broke, I immediately thought of Green. Since they're now committed to this core, I figured they might as well get him done and ostensibly finish the job or as much as they can reasonably do right now.
My guess is, after he inevitably opts out, he re-signs for 4/$50-54M, with the 4th season partially guaranteed.
The part about LMA/Pau best/worst case is f*cking hilarious.
Yep lol! I wonder who on here wrote that article
Same person who wrote that -and-a-half Tony article.
I might or might not know that writer personally.
Nick Young already torching and he's getting paid pennies compared to Patty tbh
Det culture tho
The silver lining of Pau's horrendous contract is we dodged Cp3s eventual much worse contract tbh.
offseason was over for the spurs after they missed out on cp3.

I just love my super Spurs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gooooooooooooooooooo spurs go!
Manu at 50 years of age is better than CP3 right now.
CP3 is a joke!
Dodged a bullet, tbh. He'd be good for a year or two, but a millstone around the neck after.
Yep. Opening night on the bench at crunch time against the Dubs with a bothersome knee does not bode well for Paul.
Tucker,Ariza,Mbah and Gordon with either Paul or Harden was like GS kryptonite. Could be like some kind of defensive death lineup. Was very impressive. For us though, Aldridge is the key but for GS, man, could give them a lot of problems.
Quoted you bc he's from your alma mater.
