more power than gasol
Has more heart than LMA
In shape to play too. He is so legendary he probably comes back off 1 year and gets 15/10..
Shouldn't be hard to miss tip ins all night.
I'm happy if we have Boban back
Not necessarily asking if Duncan himself were willing to go through with with it... more like asking if league rules disallow it. Technically, his salary is being stretched and is still currently on the team's payroll - though no one (hint the CBA experts up in here) has flat out come out to say that the stretch provision itself precludes Duncan from suiting up for the Spurs again. If they have, I haven't seen the cited clauses.
I just can't imagine a more legendary, unifying, morale-boosting scenario... he comes back in Game 3 (and possibly Game 4) and gives Kawhi 2 more days to heal (or 4 more days depending on if Kawhi is held out for the next two games). Then Kawhi goes savage on GSW in Game 5. We finish them off in Game 6 at home.
Multiple benefits:
- Duncan would give San Antonio a fighting chance to overcome the unfair fallout from Golden State's thuggery (Duncan is a fighter not a quitter).
- He knows the system. Without Bogut... who would stop Duncan in the post?
- Duncan has been resting all season and is still in playing shape.
- It would be a big middle finger to the league... and the ABC/ESPN shadow government which is trying to set up a Cavs/GSW rematch.
- It would allow Duncan a means of distancing himself from Kobe and Garnett so that he isn't forced to share the same HOF induction class with them.
- Given the current situation, he would be seen as the ultimate team Savior - and then step back out of the lime-light to rightfully give Kawhi the spotlight upon his return.
- Duncan could give himself an opportunity to tie Jordan with six rings.

Someone should start a pe ion...
It was hard enough watching Duncan struggle to keep up with Kanter and Adams, tbh..wouldn't want to see him vs. Draymond and running after Curry..
I don't believe so. Pretty sure no team can sign players at this point and put them on their playoff roster.
Damn we're desperate since LA and the bigs have been playing like ...
Yep, can't be done. Playoff rosters must be set before the playoffs start. You used to not even be able to change your inactive list (example: since Tony and Leonard got hurt, back in the day you couldn't activate Forbes or Anthony during the entirety of the playoffs). But they changed that rule last year.
Lol watching Duncan chase the Warriors around the perimeter ...unreal
oh its a joke we've never heard this joke before no one has made this joke yet this year good thing we made a thread and good material wow just wowow
