From what I've read, and seen. Pop and Wade have probably the best player-coach relationship in the league that have never been apart of the same organization. They seem to both respect the out of each other. As for Wade, sure he has lost a step but he would be amazing to have off the bench with his scoring, and playmaking. He seemed fed up with losing in Miami, and going home sure didn't work out as the Bulls aren't winning anything anytime soon. Udoka's wife Nia Long, and his wife Gabrielle Union would probably become besties also.
I wouldn't mind some of the mid-range guys but not at a $8mil price tag.
8 mil is the minimum that would want. Harkless got north of that. Gordon got 12mil. Batum 20mil, Crabb 18mil, Turner 16mil. Clarkston 12mil, Lee 12 mil. That is the price they get now.
Very weak bunch of SGs available, probably end up looking for one in the draft (especially if Simmons gets away and Manu retires). Justin Holiday, Tony Snell and Ben McLemore are worth a look though.
I read something on ESPN that said if Boston lands Hayward in FA that they may opt to trade Bradley for cap space to give them room to resign Olynyk. If things go down that way we could make room to absorb Bradley by renouncing rights to Manu and Mills. We could then go over the cap to resign Simmons if we wish.
Oh, pls pls pls let that happen.
We should go after Ian Clark tbh...
The Spurs should sign Vince Carter and Joe Johnson and bring back Manu. The all-vet bench.
I want ian clark.......i would love to be able to get both clark and clarkson.
He's clearly over himself, perfect Spurs material
"I bet his advanced stats were great tho!"

I don't really get this thread, isn't Simmons our first bet at SG?
If they could get C.J. Miles for 8M, they could use Danny in a trade. He's a decent defender, and shoots the 3 pretty damn good. He'll put more points on the board than Danny.
I've been a Danny Green fan since his first preseason game here. The Spurs were desperate to keep him a few years ago, but I don't think he's got sacred cow status anymore.
Weakest position on the team, easily. Must be the first thing addressed.
If we ing overpay Manu again....
You do realize the amount Manu signed for couldn't have been used on a free agent, don't you? It couldn't have been given to anyone else, so I don't know why people keep bringing it up.
Spurs need to find a way to get Clarkson. Bring back Simmons and the SG position is solidified for the next 4-5 years. The asking price is most likely the same as what they got for Lou williams, a late first round pick. Would give up the pick 10/10 times since Buford will most likely stash it until the player is 28-32 years old.
