Best sg of his generation.
Best sg of his generation.
Flashbacks of Mavs '06 tbh
Great to see Manu being Manu!
I haven't noticed anyone commenting on this particular aspect of his game. He is the best out of bounds on ball defender that I have ever seen. Been watching the NBA since the 70's.
He has caused so much havoc for in-bounding passers. Amazing reflexes and knows how to take away their angles.
Intercepting a pass from a foot or two away is damn near impossible. Seen him do it a couple of times.
The shot to win was awesome, the inbound play was the real game winning play in my book.
2:25 Manu does seem to sniff out that the inbounds is for Barea. He doesn't just mindlessly jump.
Also, I seem to recall Manu having a great out of bounds defending in the 2016 playoff game against OKC in which we lost on the controversial play.

This is from preseason:
Any decent guard could get a layup if the pick man (alrdrige here) can jam two defenders. So kudos to LMA for the clutch play.
Murray got lost on the pick on the inbounds play, and it think that led the mavs inbounder to get tunnel vision about barrea. Amazing really, because if murray doesn't lost barrea, the mavs probably get the ball inbound as secondary options would be prepared to execute.
Only saw those highlights but he was amazing down the stretch of that game, playmaking, scoring clutch baskets and making defensive plays.
Davis and Murray had good games too. Lamarcus and Bryn made important baskets to get the game close and Mavs choked too.
I simply don't understand why Pop insists on going with Gino in crunch time. incomprehensible. (for those who don't get the irony)

because the other guard is patty mills?
Confirms murray sucks.
Well that didn't happen. Instead, Manu shot his load all over the Mavs on both ends of the court.
IMO, he is the 4th best Spur of all-time, behind Duncan, Robinson, and Gervin.
Gervin? Stat stuffer. No real leadership, tbh. Manu miles ahead of him.
Manu has been an outstanding SPUR for as long as I can remember! I have thoroughly enjoyed watching his style of play and athleticism. CLUTCH player!
lel Gervin, the Spurs version of Tracy McGrady... made sense to idolize when the Spurs had to settle for sloppy seconds, tbh, the bar is much higher now.
Manu is arguably the best spur of all time. Skill wise easily. Tim dominated more, but manu had the better all around game. Robinson was awesome but too soft
Manu is overated because of his white privilege tbh.
Maybe, but still the best player on the court tonight.
it would be nice if he could make open 3's
He can make guarded threes, tbh.
