    - Exynos 8895 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 835
    - 6GB RAM
    - 12MP dual cameras (configured horizontally) w/ independent optical image stabilization
    - Fingerprint sensor placed on same plan as the camera lenses, but to the right of the flash/heart rate sensor (cameras are situated to the left of the flash)
    - 3300mAh battery
    - More S Pen capabilities (such as full-sentence language translation and currency conversion) and added the ability to pin hand-written notes to the always-on display
    that fingerprint scanner placement

I'm still happy with my bombsung note 5. Love the big screen(I know apple has similar version as well) as it's essentially my primary, often the only, way of watching live sports. I've literally had 0 issues with it. In fact I still have my old note 3, I use it whenever the Cubs and Spurs games happen to overlap, or one of them happens to overlap with tennis/football. Literally 0 problems, of any sort, with either phones.

I've used i-phone as well, had a 4S before I got my note 3. It too was fantastic, performance wise. The only issue I ever had with that phone was the inability to transfer files(media or otherwise) back and forth to a PC or any other devices(again without jumping through hoops). Also sucked having to go through itunes for music management. Do the new i-phones still have this? If not, I'd prolly go back to apple.

I don't mind that the on-screen fingerprint scanner was shelved, due to screen unevenness problems, because the Iris scanner is well-implemented (though I kinda want that because I'm using the next Note for three years), but the goddamn rear FPS placement on the Note8 sucks -
and that's with them already separating the dual camera and the finger sensor

Why not just have a vertical camera and then place the fingerprint scanner below that

It's a good phone. I likes it. Better than Apples offering.
