These games have completely passed me by. Not only do they reward losers that play 100+ hours a week, but now people with no sense can buy in game buffs with real cash. So the casual player is pretty much permanently ed. This isn't an MMO where you move on to other areas as you level up.
That's why I enjoyed the insta-gib mod on Unreal Tournament. Everybody was on an equal playing field and it was skill vs skill.
And don't get me started on the ways players keep getting nickel and dimed for , especially on a le that's already full priced.
