Bannon has an extremely inflated sense of self-importance and is far too egotistical to be the brilliant tactician everyone makes him out to be. This was a guy who was producing Sarah Palin do entaries that no watched just a couple of years ago.

It's reached the peak of its influence. Any hit pieces Bannon runs on Trump, his cabinet, and Democrats will just be toothless preaches to the choir (alt-right/disenfranchised white working class), a choir that has probably reached the peak of its cultural influence. Bannon will not win over many more mainstream conservatives, moderates, and sure as won't win over anyone on the left. Even if Breitbart tries to renovate its image (I could see Bannon shifting Breitbart to becoming more anti-state/anti-war Libertarian while distancing itself from the alt-right), it'll never wash off the alt-right stink from its brand.
