Kawhi gets himself out there, just not very active on social media which is a damn good thing. You never really saw NBA players in China until Yao Ming came along so nowadays it's different. Gotta market these players to an international audience to help sell the product. Pretty simple.
both kawhi and tim aren't anti social, but kawhi is a wing which is a flashier position than a big. You have to be twice as flashy to be a superstar big man.

Based on the podcast with Michael Wright, this is where the spurs started having trouble getting a hold of kawhi. Everything changed after his China tour.
Looking back at some of these comments are pretty depressing. They are indicative of how most spurs fans felt about Kawhi.
He came back lookin like Superman a few weeks after making Golden Fake (or should I say the dynasty that King Delly of Milwaukee and his little Aussie running mate Kyrie took down) look like a ty aau team full of brats tbh... wots the likelihood some shoe salesman in Xxzghkxzcch Provinz said I’ve got 2billion kids that want ya shoes if you can get Fakers.
The league as a whole has been catering to the expanding China market... unfortunately they only want to market certain teams over there (Warriors, Rockets, Lakers) rather than let the talent of the players alone dictate the level of their admiration.
