OAK will start out 10-0 and finish 1-5
KC will also start great and lose a lot down the stretch. Basically both will be tied at 11-2 and lose out due to tough schedules...

    1) Cowboys will be needing a win in Oakland and will play Cowboy football and win that huge road game
    2) Philadelphia Eagles on a white Christmas against the Raiders from sunny California... advantage Eagles. Sproles' last career 100+ yard game.
    3) Cinderella Chargers beat both rivals desperately fighting to get into the playoffs
    4) Broncos play spoiler week 17 to stop Chiefs from winning the AFC regular season le. Jamaal Charles' revenge game.

Chiefs won. They overcame adversity. I've always thought they're a fluky team, but no -- they're simply the best "counter punch" team in the league, to quote Collinsworth. It's almost like they actually play better when they're playing from behind and have a sense of urgency and purpose. They're the best at battling adversity in the entire NFL. Might have been some voodoo from Berry's cancer battle, now he's lost for this season due to a worse injury (ruptured Achilles) which certainly will not help their defense going forward

my Chiefs 11-5 prediction looks good. Also Raiders 11-5, Denver 8-8. I have each team going 3-3 in the division. My cinderella team is the Chargers though. Patriots will still be the #1 at 12-4 but are vulnerable at home in the playoffs this year. I have the Chargers knocking them off in Foxborough by 1-2 touchdowns. Rivers finally has the best overall team he's had in a few years.

    Here's my new official prediction.
Dude, answer my question, ok? A rout with all that time left, WHAT???????????

Dude, you have any idea how damn ROOKIE that is?

Yeah that was stupid. I was just living in the moment and echoing what fans on another board were saying.

Against most teams, actually, that might have put them in a tailspin. Not KC though, they're the single most resilient team to adversity in the NFL, maybe in sports.

Kareem Hunt (Toledo) got me thinking of other RB's where they were the only one (notable) from their school at that position in the NFL. And the Chiefs have had a few.

Abner Haynes their first "star" (Dallas Texans) North Texas St
    Joe Delaney a 9.4 sprinter at NWLa, had a 1000 yards as a rookie....drown.
Christian "Nigerian Nightmare" Okoye Azusa Pacific

Clem Daneils first 1000 yard rusher for the Raiders, Prairie View.

    Emerson Boozer Maryland Eastern Shore/Jets
    Leroy Kelly Morgan St/Browns
    Chris Warren Furman/Seahawks
    Wilbert Montgomery Abilene Christian/Eagles
J.D.Smith NCA&T/Niners, first 1000 yard rusher from an HBCU school
    Stump Mitc The Citadel/Cards
    Timmy Brown Ball St/Eagles
    Chris Ivory Tiffin/Jets
    Carl Garrett New Mexico Highlands/Pats
    Olie Matson U of SF/Rams
    Terry Metcalf Long Beach St/Cards
    Willie Ellison Texas Southern/Rams
    Bass UOP/Rams
Deacon Dan Towler Washington and Jefferson/Rams

Now how many can you people come up with? There are more.

Who was that great Hall of Fame RB with just a JC education?

Widen those horizons, extend those perimeters, and I can help.

too inconsistent, lay eggs in random away games against bad teams, Ben will miss a customary 3-4 games to nagging injury, defense still bad

to be fair, the ones from 2007 are probably AIDS infested and have all been used to treat gunshot wounds.

Hopefully the season doesn't suck as much as the past couple seasons. I see the pregame shows are still pure cancer; lets see if ratings continue the downward trend.
