Think about it, whats the possibility of murder in these situations. What is stopping anyone from drowning someone they hate. Surely no one is going to suspect anything in hurricanes?
Do Banks empty their vaults in hurricanes? How about somehow finding a way to flood the banks, destroy the power and steal money. If the eye of the hurricane hits the bank, i mean..there is potential here.

Autopsies are performed and they will find his wife died in a very different manner by the way her lungs filled up than Blake did. And then the kids have a dead mom who was murdered by her husband who then drowned by himself without any help.
