    Having 3 of the most highest paid, top drivers retire on back to back to back years didn't help their ratings either.

    Sadly nascar and nfl used to appeal to our basest instincts. On any given sunday someone could get really ed up and bubba could see it live on tv. Rules changed to make it safer. People got bored.

    I think the nfl is as popular as ever but cord cutting and relying on old methods like mailing in Nielsen surveys and an inability to track OTA views has more than a bit to do with it. Certainly explains Jerruh kneeling to protest Trump telling
