    Kyle too, right?
So far, yes, he's been fine in his role. I still have plenty of doubts about him, nor do I like his decision making most of the time. Nonetheless, he's playing well enough for me to focus my disappointment solely on Mills and Gasol right now.

Yeah I have been hating Danny SG who can’t dribble the ball but he seems to finally put the whole game within reach. I still want to him continue to improve but I’ll give him credit he is better this year then last year.

Two possessions (both ends) that sum up why Danny is 10 time more valuable than Mills and why it is going to suck losing him in FA because of the latter albatross loyalty contract..

Danny not leaving he has been here so long and is very comfortable in his role and with this team. He is having fun and you can tell he is enjoying his self a lot more.

Really impressed with his ability to drive, it seems like the real deal. That's in addition to ing beasting on D.

He is still one of the best players to use as a trade chip to get younger, and more athletic.

    FIRST TEAM All-Defense

After that he went and hit a three on the other end. As he was raising up for the shot I was like "you deserve it mother er".

hhmmmmm I am very high on this team's upside.
As bummed out as I was over the summer, and the offseason signings, this season feels different. There is like a passing of the baton with Dijon. Whatever happens when Tony gets back I think he will still get minutes. He has given us reason to be super excited about him. Danny is balling. Kyle has shown a pulse. The Spurs team has a future. Once Kawhi gets healthy look out league!

He has a PO coming up. Last time they asked him about it, he said he was undecided. My guess is he'd prefer to work out an extension with PATFO similar to what LMA did. The most he could sign for is $53.8M/4, tacked on to this year.

That's insulting given Mills contract tbh

It's in Danny's interest I think to sign a long term contract, so I kind of expect him to opt out to negotiate a long term deal.

Yep, he's definitely got a case of contract year play. In some ways it's disappointing. He's clearly put in much more work this summer - and I like to expect my multi-millionaire athletes to put in the work all the time... Still, I would not object to handing him that 4yr/53.8 Million extension. In practice that's 50% or so more than the MLE, which is to say roughly the $10 million /year that he was on before, adjusting for "inflation". He's been worth it, as a starter level player, who complements our style and star players nicely.

So because of a contract, he can all of the sudden finish at the rim?

I wouldn't sign him to an extension during the season. I'd rather play out the whole season and see how he plays for the rest of it.

I was one of the ones that wanted him traded. I thought he was regressing and was likely going to get worse and worse. I am amazed at how he's played to start the season. This is the Danny Green I remember on defense, but now also with some dribbling skills and finishing. I hope he can keep this up. Glad to be totally wrong on him so far.

Hopefully his shooting is more consistent for the WHOLE season too.
