People forget Kawhi is a top 4 player in the league, TP was unreal in the playoffs last year after coasting in the RS & it's very possible he could get back to that level again. And Gay looked really good at the 4 this season.

    LeBron has an insane mileage.

    MASTER PLAN

LeBron needs to opt-in his player option.

Trade him for Anderson + Tucker + Nene after the season.

    Let Ariza walk.

Re-sign Paul, Capela, Luc and Gerald Green.

    Sign Wade and Jeff Green.

Sign shooters and a backup big.

    2018/2019 Houston Rockets

    Chris Paul / Dwyane Wade
    James Harden / Eric Gordon
Luc Mbah a Moute / Gerald Green
    LeBron James / Jeff Green
    Clint Capela / Backup big

Spurs are sucking on purpose so the narrative next year isn't that Lebron is joining a "winner" when he comes to the Spurs.

OKC just lost to the Lakers at home. Their 4th loss in a row after an 8-game winning streak. They play the Warriors in San Fran next.

New Orleans is bringing back guard DeAndre Liggins on a two-year deal, league sources tell ESPN. His time on a 10-day contract with Pels recently ended. Liggins has shown himself to be a strong perimeter defender.

It can change easily if Kiwi comes back but as they stand right now... They aren't that good. Even Manu said it.

Has a lot more to do with the people around him. LA has been fantastic this season.

I don't disagree. With that said, I don't believe the Aldridge way is the winning way as the paradigm has shifted to one with motion and ball movement as opposed to post ups and ISOs. Most teams are content with giving up the less efficient mid rsnge J's and post ups because they won't beat very many teams in today's game.

Lebron breaking and we're not even at the ASB yet. They're now 0-8 in Nationally televised games.

Bad news for Lebron: Playoffs are nationally televised.

Atlanta Hawks reportedly in “full-scale sell mode” in advance of trade deadline

    https://www.peachtreehoops.com/2018/...ennis-schroder

Deveney indicates that “executives around the league expect (Marco Belinelli and Ersan Ilyasova) to be bought out if they are not traded” and, while that isn’t a shock, it does speak to a potential lack of interest on the market

I would take both. We all know who we would like to see dropped as well.

Well that report sure isn't helping their trade value. Why give up assets if you can just wait a week and pick them off the buyout market?

In all honesty, teams are just finally getting smarter. It makes no sense to give up assets for a 3 month rental of Belinelli or Illyasova. Neither are big enough difference makers -- they are complimentary outliers that provide depth for the teams that would be interested in trading for them ( contenders). The bad teams would only be interested in their contracts since they're expiring, but why would Hawks take on bad deals unless picks (plural) are attached? Contenders are the only market for these type of niche role players who have expiring deals on bad teams.

Not sure why this is so hard to figure out.
