I’d bet a lot that LeBron will suffer his first major injury this season. He’s putting forth way more effort this year. I doubt his Achilles explodes Kobe style, but I bet he misses a month or so at some point. He’s only human, and at some point all those minutes, the punishment he takes going to the basket, and having to carry this godawful mess of a team will catch up to him.

That's funny, I don't remember either of those guys making the series-winning shot in Game 7, winning Finals MVP or leading both teams in points and assists for the series.

Boston and Atlanta are two teams that have a tendency of being hot at the beginning of the season then petering out as the season progresses and teams begin to hit their strides.

Atlanta not so much this season.

Man i had him as the third best PG after Russ and Steph when Paul got hurt but this season he has been the best ...passing more but also taking over when needed all this without Hayward ...
    MVP race
    1. KYRIe
    2a. LeBron
    2b. Harden

the record gives him the slight edge we all know LeBron is greater but the narrative points to Kyrie..

Don't forget MVChalmers. Dude was the best guard on the floor in games 6 & 7. Dude basically kept them in both games while LBJ and crew got their together, tbh.

I have to hand it to Kyrie. He's doing better than I thought. I'm surprised he isn't chucking as much.

Either way, most of the credit should go to Stevens. Let's not forget that last season Boston was the number one seed too, with Isiah Thomas averaging 30 per game. And the team was less talented than this one. Irving deserves credit, but with persepctive.

I was teasing about Kobe's preseason challenge for Kyrie to win mvp ...which probably has a small % impact on why he is balling compared to Stevens, his teammates, no LeBron etc. but is funny and pisses Kobe haters off.

as for Stevens best young coach hands down (Spo is 2nd) and only a le is why he isnt higher than top 3 ...even without a ring he is better than Doc, Lue and Kerr tbh only pop and rc are debatable ...
gimosh i hate the celts but they have two of the only 4 Dukies i like in the league (Kyrie, Tatum, Ingram, Kennard) and Stevens who i admired at Butler ...

Kyrie is very good but he is getting way too much credit. Boston was great last season but because no one's heard of many of their young players they give the star all the credit. Irvings averaging 5ppg less than Isiah did last season. Jaylen Brown being way better than last year and Tatum are bigger factors

Stevens deserves a ton of the credit ...
    But ...
when was the midget ever as surgically efficient as Kyrie was last night? Thomas was protected by Avery and crowder Kyrie is leading Celts to a better record without his #2 and with multiple players with no experience ...when a team wins the best player and coach get the most credit ...
thank God Spurs dint get Kyrie he Kiwi and resurgent Green/Aldridge wouldnt be fair ...
