If they lose to this ty Panthers team at home, I'll be done with Payton and Brees forever.
I don’t see buffalo winning with a dinged up shady

Week 17 made the AFC first round almost unwatchable. The AFC really needed the Ravens and Chargers. Ugh.
What a ty scenario for the league and AFC parity. This means the Patriots dodge the Chiefs who can beat them, and instead get a second round bye against the team that Brady is what, 29-2 against for his career? What a crock. Jags need to win for a legit second round, because let's not forget they won in Pittsburgh against a full strength Steelers team this year, and it wasn't even that close.
Atlanta over LA would be nice for compe ion too, I guess, and it's very possible. Also, gotta roll with the veteran QB/coach over the rooks.
surprised they're still wanting gruden to call the game this weekend given all the hysteria surrounding him atm
plus i wonder who's gonna be our rooney rule sacrificial lamb? ... hey guy, you've got 20 minutes to explain why we should hire you instead of a guy we've offered 10 mil for and were discussing ownership stakes with
Why is it a "crock"?
I look at two things in this round.
best QB THIS season
wins in the last 5 games (I do ignore situations like the Rams)
The Chiefs 4-1 vs ans 2-3
Chiefs have the better QB
Chiefs the pick
Rams 4-1 vs Falcons 3-2
Goff having the better season
Rams the pick
Drew Brees at home vs Cam Newton is all that matters here.
Saints the pick
Now it gets ???, both at 3-2, both having ??? QB's. So here it has to be the better D at home.
Jags the pick
I do expect to go 3-1 at least.
lol... what have you told everyone else about veteran QB/coach vs. rookie QB/coach?
well, here you have it.
I think from an experience standpoint, the Falcons are as safe of a road bet as anyone in the first round in the past several years. Plus, they're peaking at the right time while the Rams offense in the second half of the season hasn't been nearly as good as it was in the first half.
My picks
Chiefs
Jaguars
(the previous two mostly because their opponents aren't playoff quality teams)
Panthers
Falcons
Chiefs 17
ans 16
Rams 31
Falcons 27
Jaguars 20
Bills 10
Saints 34
Panthers 13
Bills/ ans gotta be the tiest WC since this playoff format was implemented
Panthers most overrated team in the entire playoffs IMO. Cam hasn't thrown for more than 185 yards more than once in his last 8 games and I don't like their yards/play differential. Blowout potential in New Orleans.
Rams 34, Falcons 28
Saints 30, Panthers 17
Chiefs 28, ans 6
Bills 20, Jaguars 17 (OT)
Julius Peppers
They doubted us time and time again this year.
Predictions:
TEN 10 KC 34
ATL 34 LAR 27
BUF 6 JAX 20
CAR 30 NO 27 (OT)
Gotta catch both games tomorrow because the first is a Chiefs home game, easy opponent or not their home games are always fun to watch because they have some of the best fans and stadium ambiance in the league, I'd rank them just below Seattle and Philly (when they're compe ive)... and the other is obviously the beginning of the Falcons' mission to redeem themselves over 28-3.
I'll be driving back up to Dallas from SA early Sunday afternoon, because that early game is just too boring, and I'm a hardcore NFL fan who hasn't missed a playoff game since before 2011.

Jags - Bills H
Saints - Panthers H
Falcons are my ballsy pick
I don't think it's ballsy at all.
Rookie QB/HC vs. veteran QB/HC in the playoffs? No brainer to me.
<edit> oh, and I almost forgot, the Lambs peaked by midseason and the Falcons are rolling into the playoffs. Momentum, experience, and lack of a significant HFA will decide the game.
well i said ballsy, not flat out re ed gambling.. I mean Atlanta is weak against the run and the rams have a top level ground game. So it is ballsy i think. Plus superbowl curse.
Quinn is one of the game's true dogs, though.
I'd bet my house on the Falcons ATS (+7) tonight, and my car on the Falcons straight up. No second thoughts.
